Reviews of ThinkBook Transparent Display:
People are waiting in line at the MWC in Barcelona, Spain to get a preview of the company’s demo ThinkBook laptop (proof-of-concept) that features a transparent display.
According to the review written on The Indian Express, the users find the transparent display as a one piece of glass with floating icons. The Indian Express stated that, “The device looks like one piece of glass with floating Windows icons on it. Moving the cursor appears as if you are moving in mid-air. It’s like you are using an AR headset, and the apps interact in a whole new environment”.
People trying the demo model says that it make them feel they are in a dystopian world with one of the witnesses speaking, “I must say, peering through the transparent display is pure magic, giving you the feeling of using a dystopian computer for the dystopian world.”
The only backdraw of this model would be the key board. People won’t get that tactile feel instead it will be like typing on a flat surface.
Lenovo is very much aware that achieving a Full HD display at the moment on a transparent Micro LED panel would be a challenge but still innovating a transparent display is a big deal and it took the technology one steps closer to the unimaginable things which are yet to come with the foundation idea of transparent display concept. Lenovo’s ThinkBook transparent display is a eyes on the future.
