U.S. Defense Secretary Condemns Iran’s Attacks on Israel
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin emphasized that while the US does not pursue conflict with Iran, it remains ready to safeguard its forces and uphold Israel’s defense. Additionally, he underscored that, under President Joe Biden’s guidance, US forces intercepted numerous missiles and UAVs destined for Israel.

The US Defense Secretary strongly denounced the “reckless and unprecedented attacks” carried out by Iran and its proxies against Israel. “We strongly condemn these actions and call on Iran to halt all further attacks, including those orchestrated by its proxy forces, and to immediately lower tensions,” he affirmed. Additionally, Secretary Austin emphasized, “While we do not seek conflict with Iran, we stand ready to defend our forces and assist in safeguarding Israel.“
